Parks. People. Place.

The City of Princeton and its residents have long envisioned a future where parks and public spaces serve as the heart of the community, providing residents with vibrant, one-of-a-kind, well-maintained areas for recreation, relaxation, and social interaction.

In November 2023, Princeton residents voted in overwhelming favor of a $109 million bond to transform Princeton's parks infrastructure. Through this bond program, the City of Princeton has identified the following four goals.

01

Expanding Green Spaces for a Growing Community

Princeton's rapid growth demands expanded parks and recreational facilities. The Parks Bond will fund new spaces and amenities that promote active lifestyles, recreation, and community connections for our growing population.

02

Building Iconic Community Spaces

Beyond traditional parks, the bond will also fund the creation of new, iconic community gathering spaces. Plans also include a multi-generational facility to provide programming to youth, teens, and seniors alike. We hope these projects will inspire a sense of pride in Princeton, elevating it as a regional destination for leisure and recreation.

Enhancing Existing Parks and Recreational Facilities

One of the primary goals of the bond is to enhance our existing parks, upgrade these facilities to meet modern standards and improve the overall user experience. This includes constructing new sports fields, playgrounds, and splash pads.

04

A Lasting Legacy for Future Generations

As we embark on this transformative journey, the $109 million bond represents not just an investment in infrastructure but an investment in the well-being of our residents. By listening to the community's desires for new and improved parks and recreation spaces and embracing innovation, the city is creating parks that are functional and destined to become cherished landmarks for generations to come. These projects are poised to improve the quality of life for our residents and provide spaces that bring the people of Princeton together in meaningful ways.
