J.J. Book Wilson Park

Project: JJ Book Wilson Park is a 3.44-acre destination park featuring a skate park, pump track, age-specific playgrounds, walking trail, shaded areas, and restroom facilities. Designed to support Princeton’s vision for a best-in-class parks system, the park will provide a vibrant and inclusive space for recreation and relaxation.

This project is in the early design phase, and all renderings are conceptual and subject to change.

Funding Source: As part of a disannexation agreement with the Crossmill project, the developer provided the City of Princeton with a $5M donation dedicated exclusively to J.J. Book Wilson Park.

The contribution recognizes the City’s prior planning and infrastructure efforts and will be used solely to enhance the park’s amenities and accessibility. This agreement allows both parties to move forward while ensuring the funds create a lasting benefit for Princeton residents.

An additional $1.4M for the project is sourced from Parks funds.

Timeline: Construction is anticipated to start in Q1 2026, with an approximate 10-month duration. Ongoing efforts will be made to accelerate the schedule where possible, with a target completion date in Q4 2026.
